Many photographers use famous, iconic images as sources for their own work. For this click assignment, I'd like you to choose an iconic photograph or painting to reenact, but to interpret the work in an interesting way. You could modernize it, or even substitute the main subject, but regardless, your reenactment should employ a similar composition.
An image is iconic when it is immediately recognizable to a mass audience. Works such as Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," or Avedon's "Marilyn Monroe" are iconic. They are seen everywhere, (don't choose a work that only you know about!) The challenge here is to reference an iconic image in your reenactment, but to not make it entirely obvious, (see Raissa's example here).
You must upload your final reenactment along with the original, image that inspired the shoot next to it, (like a diptych).
